The Triangular trade had three steps or stages.Ships would carry slaves, cash crops, and manufactured goods between west Africa, Caribbean or American colonies and the European colonial powers, with the northern colonies of British North. The trade involved three journeys.Ships traveling from all over Europe carrying manufactured goods to different ports along the African coast to trade for slaves. Then the ships from Africa then sailed across the Atlantic to the Caribbean and America to trade the slave for raw material. So basically the countries would trade raw materials such as sugar, tobacco, rice and cotton for slaves. On February 20, 1900 six millionAfricans were taken to America as slaves.European traders bought enslaved peoples from travelling African dealers or nearby African chiefs. The African dealers would have to kidnapp people from different villages. The Europeans would set up ports in Africa and thats how they would pick up and trade slaves.
